Sakina

Privacy policy

Sakina is designed to work with as little personal data as possible.

Location

Your location is used on your phone to calculate prayer times, the Qibla direction and nearby mosques. It is stored only on your phone. When you search for nearby mosques, the coordinates of the chosen place are sent to the OpenStreetMap Overpass service to find mosques around it.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules adhan and reminder notifications on your phone. If the app's team uses push notifications, your device receives a random identifier from Firebase Cloud Messaging so that messages can be delivered.

Statistics

When the app is connected to its admin panel, it sends a random device identifier, the phone model and Android version, the app version, the language, and the city and country of the chosen place, so the team can count active installations. No name, e-mail address or exact position is sent.

Advertising

If ads are shown, the advertising provider may use the advertising identifier of your phone. You can reset it or opt out of personalised ads in your phone's settings. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app asks for your consent first.

Your data on the phone

Your prayer log, bookmarks, tasbih counts and settings stay on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
